Newbies & Bewbies is a mobile home visiting lactation and postnatal support service based in the South Eastern & Bayside suburbs of Melbourne. After hours, weekends and virtual consults available. Travel fees apply for visits greater than 10km from Bentleigh East (see FAQs for travel fee details)

    2) 1:1 face-to-face or virtual education session

    3) Bonded Beginnings Antenatal Support Package

    • 3 face-to-face or virtual personally designed consultations at different stages of your pregnancy (20-24 weeks, 28-34 weeks, 36-38 weeks)

    • Suited to women who have experienced significant breastfeeding challenges or breastfeeding trauma and/or additional mental health needs.

  • Do you need support or help with breastfeeding from an experienced nurse/midwife and lactation consultant?

    There are initial and follow up appointments available.

    *All new clients must book an initial appointment.

    *Follow up appointments must be made within 8 weeks of an initial consultation.

  • A tailor made resource book that includes: a how to guide for hand expressing, postpartum recipes, practical ideas to support bonding and attachment with your baby and so much more!

  • This masterclass is perfect for first time parents or parents who have had other children but would like a refresher

  • Aim to book in when you are between 32-36 weeks pregnant

1:1 Antenatal Breastfeeding Education

  • 90 min engaging in-home or virtual consultation (partners or support person encouraged to attend)

  • A tailor made resources book that includes: a how to guide for hand expressing, postpartum recipes, practical ideas to support bonding and attachment with your baby and so much more!

  • The 1:1 session is perfect for first time parents or parents who have had other children but want a refresher

  • This 1:1 session is a great option if you prefer a more more personalised approach

Have you had a poor or traumatic experience with breastfeeding and are feeling overwhelmed and anxious about your next experience?

Do you have additional mental health needs and want a more tailored approach to preparing for breastfeeding before your baby arrives?

The “Bonded Beginnings” Antenatal Support Package has been created to:

  • Provide you compassionate continuity of care

  • Provide support, care, empathy and understanding

  • Provide you with an individualised and tailored sessions and ongoing support through your pregnancy

  • Help you navigate your previous challenges

  • Empower you with knowledge

  • Arm you with confidence

  • Help you with strategies to promote a more positive experience

What’s included?

  • 15 minute free discovery call

  • 3 x 90 minute in-home face to face or virtual sessions

  • Session One: 20-24 weeks

Together, we take a comprehensive history and provide you with space to debrief your prior experiences/s, explore your future goals

  • Session Two: 28-34 weeks

Breastfeeding education session that has been purposefully designed to meet your goals, needs and prior experiences that we discussed in our first session

  • Session Three: 36-38 weeks

An opportunity to discuss and further questions, review your feeding preferences and learn how to hand express

  • Support via text message and email

  • Tailored made resources at each session including a reflective journal, goal setting, promoting positive breastfeeding guide book and so much more.

Details:

  • Sessions are delivered in your home or via zoom

  • Appointments are available during the week and after hours.

  • *Package is $500, with 50% required prior to Session One and the balance paid prior to Session Two.

Postnatal breastfeeding support

Initial Breastfeeding Consultation

$225 (Travel fees may apply)

Are you looking for someone who provides a high level of care that is family-centred, empathetic and compassionate?

The “Initial Breastfeeding Consultation” is ideal for:

  • Families seeking extra support with breastfeeding

  • Difficulties with position and attachment

  • Nipple trauma/pain with breastfeeding

  • Low or over supply

  • Implementation &/or weaning of nipple shields

  • Implementation of supply lines

  • Supporting exclusive and mixed feeding

  • Navigating pumping

  • Breast and/or Bottle refusal

  • Mastitis and/or engorgement management

  • Supporting breastfeeding and introducing solids

What’s included?

  • 2 hour in home consultation

  • Detailed plan and notes that are emailed to you within 48 hours of consultation

  • Follow up support via text message or email for 1 week following consultation

  • This consultation is designed for any family who are seeking support and guidance with their breastfeeding journey.

When is the ideal time to attend?

  • Getting help as soon as you feel you need is the perfect time.

Are you needing some additional support with breastfeeding?

The “Follow up Breastfeeding Consultation” is ideal for:

  • Families seeking extra support with breastfeeding on top of their initial consultation

  • Providing an opportunity to amend or update feeding plan as required

  • Additional physical, emotional and psychological support

What’s included?

  • 30-60 minutes in-home consultation

  • Detailed plan and notes that are emailed to you within 48 hours of consultation

Is this right for me?

  • This consultation is designed for any family who are seeking support and guidance with their breastfeeding journey.

When is the ideal time to attend?

  • Getting help as soon as you feel you need is the perfect time.

Details:

  • Follow up appointments are in home and face-to-face and are only available if you have had an initial consultation with Newbies & Bewbies.

  • Depending on the nature of the consultation, a virtual consultation may be appropriate (Eg. Returning to work plan)

  • Appointments are available during the week and after hours in the evening and weekends

  • Travel fees apply for distances >10km from Bentleigh East

  • Follow up appointments can only be booked within 8 weeks of an initial consultation.
